"I gave my 11th grader a copy of this book (320 SAT Math Problems Arranged By Topic And Difficulty Level) to prepare for taking the SAT. He says:
"This book really helped with learning the ways to go about studying for the SAT, as well as utilities to study with. It contains methodology and practice problems for both the adept, and advanced takers of the SAT. I believe that this book is capable of boosting scores of people at any level, as well as bringing some people to the perfect score. It contains sections ranging from topics about how to guess and pace yourself to how to use a calculator wisely and grid answers correctly."
Note: My son is in the highest math in an International Baccalaureate program (an intense college prep program) and always scores in the 99th percentile on standardized math exams, yet he still found this book helpful and believes it will increase his math SAT score. He emphasized that it will help students at ANY level."

"I just love this book (28 SAT Math Strategies To Improve Your Score In One Month). It is written by an Associate Professor of Mathematics who has also been tutoring SAT Math students over the past decade, so the book is filled with years of experience and knowledge in what students need to know to maximise their marks. I think it is very clearly explained with plenty of good, relevant, practice questions and solutions. The shortcuts and strategies that are taught to help speed up answering the questions are simple and easy to follow, and I like the way the solutions to the problems show both the shortcut strategies, plus the more formal methods that are used at school, to give the student a good comparison between the two methods. The extra tips, optional information and further questions are good too for extra practice.
I think this book would really help those students who are working at an intermediate level to improve their SAT score, and it should really boost their confidence. It is a great self-study book, but would be really helpful for tutors as well. For students studying alone, I think the amount of work in this book is perfect to be covered in a one month period. To be able to improve your SAT score with just one month of good practice makes this book real value for money. Of all the SAT Math books you could choose from, I think this one is the best."

"For many students, just a hundred points or so on the SAT Math score will make the difference between going to your first choice school, or settling for somewhere else. The Strategies in this book (The 32 Most Effective SAT Math Stategies) are obviously the product of years of experience with the test and they are simple to remember and implement. My oldest children utilized many of these elements to achieve exceptional SAT scores that helped to allow them to choose the schools they wanted to attend, in addition to assisting them in winning merit based scholarships, which are so rare and competitive. One of the most valuable aspects of this book is the mental clarity that will result from knowing the strategies for getting over the rough spots in the test. This is a great investment."
"I have had to teach SAT prep for 13 years to amass the combination of insights and strategies that are in this book (The 32 Most Effective SAT Math Strategies). I've worked with math students who were dissatisfied after working with a math grad student or teacher and the reason is because such amateur tutors, while very intelligent, don't understand the philosophy of the test and don't know how to translate their own genius into points for their students. Steve Warner has bridged this gap seamlessly. This book blends must-know formulas like Triangle Inequality Theorem and the Percent Change formula with extremely powerful, yet little known, test prep subtleties. This book nails the basic philosophy of SAT Prep; it's not about what you know or hard work--it's about finding the fastest and easiest way to answer the question."

"I ordered probably five or six different books and study guides. Tried online Kaplan, etc. All of them were terrible and/or not very realistic compared to the real test or just didn't hold my son's interest. (Let's face it, this stuff is dry for students). Your approach involving the Official SAT Study Guide - which are in the form of real tests - was the only one that worked. Just the preamble to your The 32 Most Effective SAT Math Strategies book was worth the purchase of the entire book.
Thanks to you, my son now has a very good shot at his first-choice school. Congratulations on the incredibly important role you play in people's lives. If one student gets into their first-choice school and that creates a big career boost, you have had an enormous impact, especially in cases where the student is actually quite capable in math, just not very good at tests under time pressure. In addition to the personal impact, if that person earns a lot more money or has greater career satisfaction attributable to admission in a better program, you have literally added an annuity of wealth to the nation with each success. You must feel just great about your impact and you deserve it."

"I am a tutor in Atlanta, and I've taught SAT Math for years. This book (28 SAT Math Strategies To Improve Your Score In One Month) is extraordinary.
There's something about this book that's drastically different about the others. Other books usually have the layout of 20 sample questions (like they would in the SAT), and you work through them, and check your answers. This book breaks down the types of questions seen in the SAT. Geometry, Algebra, Statistics. And you work through one problem at a time. The book offers multiple methods to approach any given problem. And the thing is that every student tackles math questions differently. By offering multiple angles to the problem, he allows the student to pick the method easiest to him/her.
I've used several books such as Kaplan, Princeton Review, Barrons, but honestly there's nothing different among all those books. I used to teach with those books, but slowly I've transitioned all my students to using this book. They have the same layout, but this brings something new and refreshing to the table. I'm happy to see SAT tools like this out on the market!!"

"I have ordered your book (The 32 Most Effective SAT Math Strategies) around a month ago and it has helped me so much. I went from a 520 to a 740. I am taking the SAT this Saturday, June 4th (2012) and am super confident that I will score above 720."

"Just wanted to thank you very much for your help so far! I used to score in the mid-high 400s, now i consistently score around high 600s - low 700. Hopefully by June i will be scoring in the high 700s. Well anyways, this was just to thank you and show how your book (The 32 Most Effective SAT Math Strategies) helped me immensely."

"My SAT math score improved about 80 points from my first SAT to my second.
My first impressions were that I didn't need something like this. I was wrong, it provided me not only with the mathematical skills but the test taking skills needed to do well on the exam.
I would definitely recommended to friends and family, in fact I have!"
